For a small town, Seeley Lake is blessed to have a well-rounded array of businesses—gas stations, grocery store, medical clinic and other medical services, several restaurants, K-12 schools, a bank, post office, auto repair and parts businesses, several churches, and other assorted businesses.
Seeley Lake is an outdoor meca, with a number of lakes and rivers for recreation, numerous hiking and camping opportunities, an 18 hole golf course, and in the winter over 350 miles of maintained snowmobile trails, plus a well developed cross country ski area.
Mission Bible Fellowship Church was established in 1988, and has always been a non-denominational church. It is one of 11 churches in Seeley Lake. The Church is debt-free (no mortgage), and is comprised of the church building, a parsonage, and a thrift store. The Church building consists of a sanctuary (seating 200), a fellowship hall, kitchen, offices, and several other rooms.
Church governance is basically a congregational model, meaning all major decisions entail a vote of the congregation. This includes calling or electing the Pastor, Elders, and Deacons, plus approval of the annual budget. Church leadershi[p consists of the Pastor, Elder Board, Deacon Board, and a number of individuals titled “Coordinator”, who oversee specific activities within the Church.
Average Church attendance ranges between 45-60 people. The congregation is primarily older adults, with a limited number of younger people and families. As a member of Western Conference, Mission Bible Fellowship Church receives helpful support from the Conference in the form of an interim Pastor, help and guidance in the Pastor search process, wise counsel and other operational aid/suggestions.
